Preformed single system maintenance on a 2021 gas Goodman unit. I began by testing all electrical and safety components. All tested within manufacturer specifications, except for the high temperature limit switch for the heat exchanger. I found that it was bypassed, I also wired it back into the system to test to see if it would trip at the set limit of 150 degrees. It did not shut down the system after going over the 150 mark. I also found that there was not sediment trap on the gas line going into the system. I brought these findings to the clients attention and they elected to have both concerns fixed. I changed the filter for the client 20x25x1. Temperature being supplied to the home was 120 degrees. Unit was cooling upon departure.
